This year in Unit 1 and 2 VCD students completed projects that strengthened their skills in design thinking, technical drawing, illustrating and digital design. Although students were thrown into a world of remote learning, especially learning new digital programs, they created thoughtful designs that considered form, function, and aesthetics.

This year Unit 1 projects included the redesigning and technical drawing of commercial products, illustrating textiles patterns and digitally designing educational zines about design history. To use all of their newly acquired skills in context, Unit 2 consisted of redesigning both communication and environmental designs for the Melbourne Sea Life Aquarium.
