Year 10 The Art of Revolution

In The Art of Revolution students explored works created during various revolutions, and researched these through multiple historical/cultural contexts and frameworks. Different perspectives were investigated, including how artists used symbolism, art elements and principles, and materials and techniques to communicate ideas to inform the viewer. 

In the past, the poster has been used as a cheap and accessible tool that allowed "the people" the immediacy to get their word out on the street. Therefore, students brainstormed concepts, explored ideas, materials and techniques to develop their own final poster artwork reflecting a contemporary issue.
