Year 8 Visual Art

Students opened their creative minds throughout the pandemic, producing incredibly imaginative and vibrant artworks stemming from a range of art movements. Surrealism, Cubism and Abstract Art provided the frameworks within which digital artworks, collage, paintings, linocuts and drawings were created. Students learnt how to manipulate the tools in Adobe Photoshop to create special effects, and adopted Surrealist techniques to promote the inner workings of the subconscious, both in class and during remote learning. Many superb and mind blowing results ensued and we were immensely proud of our creative cohort for 2020.
