Beachside Athletics 

Congratulations to the students who represented MGSC at the divisional Athletics event on Thursday 1 September. Despite the student free day, the committed team members ran, jumped, hopped and threw themselves in all areas on the day. Below are some of the outstanding results:

• Alannah D– Overall 16 year old champion and who came 1st in four out of her six events on the day.
• Jemmah P – overall 17 year old champion
• Star W who threw a new record in discus with whopping 23.62m.
• Five out of the six relay teams came first

All students who have qualified for the Southern Metropolitan regional Athletics event to be held on Thursday 6 October at Casey Fields, have been informed via email.

Senior State Netball Final

Our Senior Netball team competed in the State Final on Monday 5 September. Despite being defeated by other teams, MGSC displayed some superb team play and determination on the court. A big thank you to Mr Evans who accompanied the team on the day.
