VCE Art & Design show
Online for everyone
The annual VCE Art & Design Show for 2022 will be online on Wednesday 12 October. Save the date! There will be more details about how to access the event in Term 4.
This is the annual showcase of works from Units 1 to 4 students in Art, Media and Visual Communication Design. Prizes will be awarded including the 'Overall Winner' which replaced the acquisition prize as more of the students' creations embrace electronic and virtual media. This year there will be one Overall prize for the student in Year 12 who shows outstanding talent in the Arts. There will be prizes for each of the Unit 3 & 4 subjects. There will also be an award given to the top student of each of the Unit 1 & 2 subjects.
Every year we have a guest artist judge alongside our Principal, Linda Brown. This year we are lucky enough to have Dianne Simpson from Mordialloc Art Group to judge alongside Eva Cumming from Barry Plant Real Estate. Eva has been a keen supporter of the MGSC awards and judge for the past five years. Barry Plant and Mordialloc Art Group are our sponsors for 2022 and we appreciate them kindly donating monetary awards. Through their ongoing support we celebrate and acknowledge the importance of Art and Design in education.
We would like to thank all the students for their hard work this year. Folio subjects demand a high output of constant creativity for their work. They require much dedication and self motivation.
