SEXUALITY AND GENDER ALLIANCE

SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) is the new name of FCC’s LGBTIQ+ Club.  SAGA not only stands for who we are but the journey we are all taking through our school years and the safe environment we want to provide for one another. We would like to introduce you to some of our club members and their positions within our growing team.  

After the awesome success of IDAHOT Day (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Intersexphobia and Biphobia), we hope to bring a sense of inclusivity and dialogue within our school community.  Our club is growing and we have some interesting and fun plans coming up this year. If you would like to learn more feel free to drop by one of our meetings on Thursday afternoons in the Library classroom or even have a chat to one of our committee members below. 

Captains: Charlie & Eva

Charlie and Eva are Year 8 students here at FCC. They have both been with the LGBTIQ+ club since its inception and are thrilled to be the chosen leaders and mentors for their growing club. Both individuals are looking forward to working together and seeing what changes SAGA can bring on this year.

Secretary: Felix

The job of our new SAGA Secretary will not just be merely note taking. Felix is excited to help our club’s organisation efforts with clear agendas, minutes and to co-ordinate up and coming media ventures, such as the SAGA blog.

Design & PR: Freddie & Ethan

With the success of IDAHOT Day, SAGA hopes to bring and support a number of events to FCC. Freddie and Ethan hope to bring their enthusiasm, drive and social flair to designing media and promoting all of SAGA’s future endeavours.

Events & Food: Rowan & Isaac

Isaac and Rowan are happy to be contributing their love of food to helping facilitate events and organise food for meetings and get togethers.

General Members: Skye & Austin

Our General Members are also an integral part of our club and offer great insight and collaboration. We are always seeking new general members to join our growing group.
