TREE PLANTING DAY
Footscray City College has continued its effort to increase biodiversity at the school. As a part of National Tree Day over 250 students participated in a school wide tree planting activity. This involved planting 350 trees and shrubs native to the Western Plains (Footscray area). The day was a huge success and saw a noticeable improvement to the school's environment.
According to Greening Australia, Footscray City College has one of the highest biodiversity rankings of any High School in Victoria. The day was a success due to the hard work and dedication of the students involved. Their work ensures that Footscray City College remains dedicated to promoting biodiversity and maintaining a strong environmental focus.
