R U OK? Day
RUOK? day was a huge success with a great attendance at the lunchtime event on Tuesday 12th of September. Leading up to the day students took time to think about the significance of RUOK by either discussing the concept in class or getting creative making posters to submit for our competition. We had 50 fabulous entries in tight competition for two wonderful prizes which were generously donated. First prize, a family pass to Luna Park, went to Yemi Tekalenge and second prize, a double pass to the best cinema in the west, the Sun Cinema, went to Marly Antin.
Over lunch time we enjoyed tunes from various student bands and musicians. The music was first class and set the tone for a fun and happy day. Head Space Sunshine and Phoenix Youth Hub Footscray both hosted information stalls which our students could access. Special thanks to Costco for their generous contribution towards 500 chupa chups and enough chocolate sponge cake to feed almost 300. And as always thank you to the student helpers and FCC staff who made the day possible.
