9A & 9G AQUARIUM EXCURSION

On Wednesday 2nd August, 9A and 9G visited the aquarium for a guided tour. Both classes have been learning about ecosystems in Science, specifically about predator-prey relationships. We arrived at the aquarium and were each given a worksheet to complete about predator-prey relationships. Some of the animals we visited and learnt about were penguins, sharks, fish, starfish, turtles, and crocodiles which are all very good examples of predators and prey. The guide was very helpful and informative when we were at each of the areas and taught us lots, like food webs and food chains in the arctic.

After the aquarium, we walked to Federation Square and went on the second part of the excursion to ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image). We went to a free exhibition that is currently at ACMI called Screen Worlds, and it is full of different interactive activities and games on computers and screens. Some other things in there were videos made by young adults, artworks, and examples of how moving image has changed over time.

Overall, this excursion was a very enjoyable and informative experience, and both classes had a lot of fun on the day.
