Classroom Helpers Program

From Gabi Panozzo, Senior Assistant Principal
Our Classroom Helpers Program will begin this term, and we welcome families who would like to be involved.
Having additional adults in the classroom can provide valuable opportunities to support student learning. An example of tasks that Classroom Helpers may be involved in could include reading with students, playing alphabet and literacy games, or working with students on number and counting tasks. The session will be planned by the classroom teacher and communicated with you upon arrival.
Before volunteering, all helpers need to complete the following:
- Volunteer Induction Form, which includes uploading a photo or scanned copy of your Working With Children Check (WWCC) card and reviewing the key policies (as outlined in the form).
- Volunteer Induction Form (also available via the Website).
Applications for WWCC can be lodged through Services Australia
If you are interested in volunteering and have completed the above forms, please let your child’s classroom teacher know your availability (including days, times, and frequency). The teacher will create and communicate a schedule with you based on the class routine.
Please note younger siblings cannot be accommodated while volunteering.
