Family Calendar
A Family Calendar for Term 3 will be uploaded into SEQTA during the holidays. Below are whole school significant dates:
Wednesday 12 August – College Photo Day
Friday 28 August – Pupil Free Day
Wednesday 2 September – Co-curricular, Sports, Special and Catch-Up Photos
Wednesday 23 September – Term 3 concludes for Year 12 students
Thursday 24 September – Term 3 concludes for Years 7 to 11 students
College Photo Day – Wednesday 12 August
Mrs Lyndsey Cardenia sent information regarding the College Photo Day via Direqt Message this week.
Students are also reminded to adhere to the correct uniform & personal presentation requirements including:
Shirts and blazers are to be clean and have all buttons. No badges on blazers.
Skirts to be unrolled and at a modest length, on the knee.
No jumpers to be worn in the photos. Shirts tucked in.
Girls with collars outside blazer lapels and College socks (no tights/stockings).
Polished shoes.
Hair is clean, neat and tidy. Shoulder length hair must be tied back with appropriately coloured hair ties (blue, black or gold). No flowers allowed. Hair is to be pinned off the face.
Only one pair of earrings to be worn (either small gold or silver stud or sleeper, no diamantes).
No make-up.
Year 10 Subject Selection Reports
The transition from Year 10 into senior secondary schooling is a significant step, and Term 2 into Term 3 marks a key period in planning for Year 11, Year 12, and beyond.
Thank you parents, carers and students, for joining us last term for the online Subject Selection Information Evening and for attending meetings to sign the Ongoing Enrolment Agreement.
A reminder that all Year 10 students need to ensure that their signed SUBJECT SELECTION REPORTS (through SSO) is handed into Student Services by Monday 10 August (Week 3.4).

NAPLAN Reports
Parents of students in Years 7 and 9 will have received their child’s NAPLAN report in Week 1 of this Term. These reports provide useful information about how each student is progressing in literacy and numeracy, and how their results compare with national averages and students of the same year level.
We encourage parents to take some time to read through the report with their child, celebrating strengths and have a constructive conversation about any areas that may need further support. NAPLAN is just one measure of learning and should be considered alongside classroom performance, teacher feedback, and other school assessments.
If you have any questions about your child’s NAPLAN results, or would like to discuss how we are supporting their learning, please contact your child’s English or Mathematics teacher.
Religious Education Assessment
This week, students in Year 9 participated in the standardised Religious Education Assessment. This assessment is used across Catholic schools to gauge students’ knowledge and understanding of key concepts in Religious Education, including Scripture, the Sacraments, prayer, and the Catholic Christian life.
The assessment provides valuable diagnostic information that helps teachers identify areas of strength and topics that may need further reinforcement in the classroom. It is not a test of faith, but rather a tool to support the ongoing development of our Religious Education program and to ensure that students are engaging meaningfully with the curriculum.
Once results are available, staff will use the data to inform planning and to tailor learning experiences that deepen students’ understanding and reflection on their faith. Parents are welcome to contact their child’s teacher if they have any questions about the assessment or how it supports the faith formation of their child.
Year 12 Graduation
In Week 3, all Year 12 students received a Graduation Information Booklet outlining the key events and important dates for the remainder of their final year. This booklet includes details and times for graduation related activities, as well as other significant school events for Year 12.
For students completing an ATAR pathway, the booklet provides specific information about their School Examination timetable and the WACE Examination timetable. Parents and students are encouraged to keep the booklet in an accessible place at home and refer to it regularly to ensure that no deadlines or events are missed.
If families have any questions about the information in the Graduation Booklet, or need clarification regarding ATAR requirements, school exams or WACE exams, they are invited to contact Mr Murphy – Deputy Principal Year 9 & 12.
Uniform and Personal Presentation Focus
Each week this term, the College has been highlighting a specific aspect of our Uniform and Personal Presentation expectations to support students in maintaining a high standard of appearance. This targeted focus is designed to remind students of key requirements in a clear and timely way, and to reinforce the importance of taking pride in their uniform as representatives of our school community.
In Week 2, the focus was on the correct wearing of the College blazer, particularly to and from school and at formal occasions. In Week 3, staff have been emphasising appropriate jewellery, ensuring that any items worn are in line with College policy.
We appreciate the support of parents and caregivers in reinforcing these expectations at home. By working together, we can help students present themselves neatly and respectfully, in a manner that reflects our College values and contributes to a positive learning environment.
Leavers Jacket Fittings
On Tuesday 11 August, Year 11 students will have the opportunity to be fitted for their 2027 Year 12 Leavers Jacket during lunchtime. This fitting session is an important step in ensuring that each student’s jacket is ordered in the correct size and will be comfortable for them to wear throughout their final year.
Students are asked to attend promptly at the Xanten Centre during lunch and follow the instructions provided by staff and the supplier. The Leavers Jacket is a significant memento of students’ time at the College, and we encourage all Year 11s to take part in the fitting process.
