Inter-House Athletics Carnival

Last week, the College headed to Ern Clark Athletics Centre for our annual Inter-House Athletics Carnival, where students embraced a day of athletic competition, House pride and community spirit.

With perfect conditions and plenty of enthusiasm, the carnival showcased not only impressive sporting performances but also the values that define our College.

Throughout the day, students demonstrated courage by stepping outside their comfort zones and giving every event their best effort, community by cheering on teammates and celebrating one another's achievements, and excellence by striving to perform at their highest level, whether competing for a podium finish or simply challenging themselves.

From fast-paced sprints and exciting relay races to hurdles, javelin and a range of novelty events, there were countless opportunities for students to earn valuable House points. Every race, throw and jump contributed to a fantastic atmosphere filled with encouragement, determination and friendly rivalry.

Congratulations to Magdeburg for taking home the Spirit Bear. We particularly enjoyed your rendition of the Norwegian “Viking Row” from the recent World Cup.

This week, we came together at a special assembly to celebrate the outstanding individual achievements from our Inter-House Athletics Carnival and reveal the final House standings.

Student Spotlight - Alex T (Year 7)

Congratulations to Alex T (Year 7) on his selection in the WA State School Boys Under 12 Football Team, who will represent Western Australia at the National Championships in Newcastle later this year.

In the short time Alex has been at St Norbert College and involved in the Specialised Football Program, he has demonstrated exceptional football ability, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn and improve. His selection is a well-deserved reward for the commitment and dedication he has shown both on and off the field.

Everyone at St Norbert College and within the Specialised Football Program is incredibly proud of this achievement and will be cheering Alex on as he represents Western Australia later this year.

Congratulations, Alex, and best of luck!
