Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)

This week, 135 of our talented mathematicians from Years 7–12 proudly represented the College in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC).

First held in 1978, the AMC is Australia's longest-running, largest and most well-known mathematics competition for school students. The 75-minute online competition challenges students with a range of unique and engaging problems designed to develop mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, perseverance and determination. While many of the questions proved to be quite demanding, they approached each problem with resilience and gave their very best effort.

We now eagerly await the results and look forward to celebrating our students' achievements when they are announced.

Congratulations and well done to all students who participated. Your willingness to challenge yourselves and extend your mathematical thinking is something to be proud of.

Mathematics Workshops - Term 3

After-school math workshops provide a relaxed and encouraging environment where students can explore math in a way that's not possible during regular school hours. These sessions help students strengthen their skills, boost their confidence, and make learning math more enjoyable. By offering extra support, these workshops give students a great opportunity to succeed in maths, both in school and in the future.
