Pit to Pixel visit WA Mining Club Luncheon
On Thursday, 23 July, four Year 9 students, Luke, Jai, Anaaddeep and Pratyaksh, from the Pit to Pixel program were invited guests at the monthly WA Mining Club Luncheon, held in the Riverview Room at Optus Stadium.
The students presented their winning Pit to Pixel project to an audience of more than 400 mining industry professionals. Their project had previously been selected as the winning entry by an industry judging panel.
They presented confidently and professionally, explaining their ideas and representing St Norbert College exceptionally well. Feedback from the organisers was extremely positive, with WA Mining Club President Jordan Pedley commenting on how impressed the audience was with both the project and the students’ presentation.
The luncheon gave the students a valuable opportunity to showcase their work beyond the classroom, engage directly with industry professionals and see how the technology, problem-solving and collaboration skills developed through Pit to Pixel can be applied within the mining industry.
