Family Kitchen Workshops

What a way to wrap up our Family Kitchen Workshops for the year!

This term, we hosted two full nights of our Pub Style Family Kitchen Workshop, with more than 70 family members joining us across the two evenings. It was fantastic to see our families cooking, chatting, laughing and connecting together in our kitchen.

Families learnt how to prepare a classic pub style meal completely from scratch, including: homemade Chicken Parmas, crispy wedges, fresh side salad and a family sized apple crumble.

We also explored the real cost of cooking at home, with families discovering that the entire meal could be made for approximately $15.80 for two people, compared with around $40 per person at the pub. A delicious meal, plenty of leftovers and some very happy taste testers!

And, of course, no Pub Style Night would be complete without a Pub Quiz!  We had some outstanding quiz champions across the two nights, with plenty of friendly competition and a few very impressive displays of random knowledge!

A huge thank you to Omnia Community Health for their ongoing support of our Family Kitchen Workshops. Their sponsorship helps us keep these events affordable and accessible for our families while providing opportunities to build school connectedness, community and positive relationships outside the traditional classroom.

It has been an absolute privilege to host these events throughout 2026 and to see our school community come together around food, learning and connection.

We will be taking a little break from the workshops in Term 4, but we are already looking forward to bringing Family Kitchen Workshops back in 2027!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We can't wait to get cooking again!
