Upper Hume - Runners Up
Our Year 7 and 8 teams both finished Upper Hume Runners-Up at the School Sport Victoria Super 8 Cricket carnival on February 24th.
The Year 7s fell just short in a thrilling final against Victory Lutheran, nearly chasing down 39 runs in the final two overs. Standouts included the batting duo of Emma Kelly and Koko Hogan (0/73 off 12 balls) and lead bowler Maya Williams (4/13).
The Year 8s dominated three of their four matches, highlighted by Captain Ava Penney’s incredible 52 runs in a single over and a hat-trick from Taylah Wyatt. Ava Penney also led the bowling with 5/19, while Evie Fisher and Lexi Hayward maintained a massive 6.4 strike rate.
A huge thanks to our 37 players and student helper Jack Spring for his "sterling" umpiring effort.
