Sport: Lacy Solimo Equestrian Champion

We congratulate Year 10 Lacy Solimo who claimed 1st Place Ribbons in 2 events at the Scots School Albury Equestrian Interschools Challenge.

Solimo won both of her jumping events to be crowned show jumping Champion in the 45cm category, as a bottom ager in the Senior division, riding her horse Harry. On her other horse Park Avenue William, she was Reserve Champion in the Preliminary Dressage.

Solimo has gone individual Australian Top 10 at National competitions the past two years - Pony Club Nationals 2025 in Werribee, and Equestrian Nationals 2024 in Tamworth.

She was Australian Champion last year as part of a 6-rider Victorian State Team at the Pony Club Nationals.

She was also a Top 4 Finalist at the 2025 Variety Young Sports Achiever Of The Year award.

Amazingly, she’s one of 3 in her Homeroom class, that last year were Top 10 in Australia in their respective sports - Mountain Bikers Ruby Burns and Inanay Gilson the others.
