Year 9 CLC Program

Bouldering and Hiking

Our Year 9 Community Leadership Challenge (C.L.C) cohort have been adventuring in the Alpine Region.

First stop was Buffalo Boulders in Myrtleford, with an hour on the Indoor Rock Climbing walls and Slack Lines - Resilience and Challenge the major focus. Thank you to expert guide Ryan.

The base of Reform Hill was next, with a 1km hill hike from the Hume & Hovell Monument, looping around the Quarrry & Gully Tracks - complete with a visit from a watchful kangaroo.

T

he group are proving one of our best groups yet, and are building nicely toward our famous Term 2 Volunteering Missions.

C.L.C has provided priceless memories for thousands of Year 9s every Wednesday for the last 17 years.

Brookefield Maze & Gardens

Our Community Leadership Challenge (C.L.C) program took our Year 9s on another Wednesday of adventures and development, this time to the Brookfield Maze & Gardens.

The cohort were mentally and physically challenged in the giant Hedge Maze, engaged in various games such as Giant Chess and Giant Checkers, Team Work tasks on a Ropes Course, Treasure Hunts, plus a Creek Walk and exploration of the gardens.

Thank you to Brookfield staff member Neve for hosting us.

Excursion Season continues for the rest of Term 1, prepping the cohort to Volunteer in small groups at chosen organisations each Wednesday in Term 2.
