Grade 6 Election

By Pareen and Maria 6E

In Week 8 we did the Year 6 Candy Election. We had a large selection of candy to choose from. Whichever candy has the most votes would win. And this week we will get the candy that won, which is the Blue sour clouds!! They won with 57 votes in total. Jolly ranchers come in second with 45 votes. We started this in reading when we were learning about the government and how voting works. After that we started  to see which candy was the most popular grade. We also made posters based on candies in the election. There were chupa chups, M&Ms, Warheads, Sour candy, Mars bars, Jolly ranchers, Carberry, Mentos, Blue sour clouds ,Katics. And out of all these candy’s, blue sour clouds were the most popular.

Cyber Safety

By Akeila and Quynh Anh 6E

In Week 8 we learned about Cyber Safety. Cyber safety is important for students that don’t understand much about the internet and what can happen if they are not safe. We learned that some apps can track your location and there could be an invisible audience watching your posts. We also learned how to protect ourselves from dangers online like bullying. Finally, we learned that it is okay to tell someone we trust what is happening on the internet even if we did something we were not supposed to do.

Cross Country

By Charlotte W and Lisa 6E

I run through the finish line, heart hammering and legs throbbing. Cross country took place on the 30th of March, at Royal Park. At the start of session 3 the years 3, 4, 5, and 6 went to compete. The year 6s went first and then the other years followed in age order. The run was hot and exhausting for most, but still fun. The year 3s were lucky and got to run 1 lap, instead of two. Overall, the year 6s last primary school cross country was unforgettable.
