Year 7 Transition

Transition to High School – Year 7 2027

Our Year 7 2027 transition program is now underway, and it has been wonderful to begin visiting our local primary schools to meet students and answer their questions about starting high school. These visits are a great opportunity for students to become familiar with high school life and begin building confidence for the transition ahead.

We have also commenced meetings and school tours with families of students with additional needs to help ensure a smooth and successful transition into high school. If you are a parent or carer of a student entering Year 7 in 2027 and would like to arrange a meeting to discuss how we can best support your child’s transition, please feel free to contact me.

Transition lessons and meetings with primary school staff have now been scheduled and will begin later this term. There will be many exciting transition opportunities coming up, so stay tuned for further updates.

Please note that applications are now open for students wishing to be considered for our HPGE (High Potential and Gifted Education) class for Year 7 2027.

Applications close on Friday 21 August 2026.

Year 7 2026 - Camp at Glenworth Valley Wilderness Adventures – An Unforgettable Adventure!

Our Year 7 students are having an incredible time at Glenworth Valley Wilderness Adventures on their 3-day, 2-night camp experience. From the moment the buses left school, they were filled with singing, laughter and excitement. It was clear this was going to be a camp to remember!

Students have embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zones and build resilience while creating new friendships and strengthening existing ones. With beautiful weather, stunning surroundings and the fun of “glamping,” the atmosphere has been nothing short of fantastic.

The camp program has been packed with exciting activities including Laser Skirmish, abseiling, kayaking, a scavenger hunt, trivia night, movie night and relaxing around the campfire. Students have also been very impressed with the amazing food and the chance to enjoy so many shared experiences together.

A huge thank you goes to the staff who generously gave up time away from their own families and classes to make this camp such a success. Their enthusiasm, care and support have helped create an unforgettable experience for our students. We are so proud of the way Year 7 have represented our school and look forward to sharing many more stories from the adventure!
