Term 2 has been a busy and productive term for Mathematics students across all year groups. Students have continued developing their problem-solving and reasoning skills through a variety of engaging classroom activities and collaborative learning opportunities. It has been pleasing to see many students showing persistence and confidence as they tackle increasingly challenging concepts.
Year 7 students will complete a test on Data and the Cartesian Plane in Week 7.
Year 8 students also have a test in Week 7, which will be covering Equations, Angles and Pythagoras’ Theorem.
Year 9 will complete a test on Measurement in Week 8
Year 10 students completed their assessment task on Expressions and Equations in Week 4.
Our Chess Club continues to run every Thursday during recess in B2, and all students are welcome to attend.
We would like to thank students for their continued effort and positive attitude towards their learning throughout the term. As we move towards the second half of Term 2, we encourage all students to remain organised, keep up with revision and to continue seeking support when needed. The Mathematics Faculty looks forward to seeing students continue to grow in confidence and achieve success in their learning.
