The HSIE Faculty has had another productive term of learning across both junior and senior classes, students have continued to build their knowledge, skills and confidence across a wide range of subjects.
Our junior classes have recently completed their assessment tasks for the term and should be commended for their consistent effort and engagement in class.
Year 7 students have been exploring Water in the World, developing their understanding of the importance of water as a global resource and the challenges surrounding its management.
Year 8 students are wrapping up their study of Ancient Egypt and are preparing to begin their exciting new unit on Ancient China.
In Geography, Year 9 students have been investigating the world’s diverse biomes and examining how environments influence both ecosystems and human activity. In Ms Fouracre's class, students were challenged to demonstrate their understanding of food chains, human impacts on biomes and food sources, defensive mechanisms of animals through a creature creation competition.
Congratulations to:
Thomas and Keria for your creative and colourful expression!
Alyssa, Oliva L and Hallie for having the most factual entry.
Sarah and Olivia G for your drawing skills!

Year 10 History students have been unpacking the unit Australian's at War, what caused the great conflicts of the modern world and what Australia's role was.
Our senior HSIE students continue to work steadily as they prepare for their Preliminary and HSC examinations. Across all senior subjects, students are developing their content knowledge, critical thinking and exam skills in readiness for upcoming assessments and future studies.
The Year 11 Business Studies class has also been busy planning for Enterprise Day planned for Wednesday of Week 8. Students are tasked to work collaboratively to plan, create and implement their own business plans. Students will need to evaluate how their business performed on the day and repay their 'loans' with interest, providing real world business experiences. All profits that are raised will go towards future educational excursions for the class. We can't wait to see everyone's entrepreneurial skills on full display in Week 8.
The HSIE Faculty are proud of the positive attitude students have shown towards their learning this term, and we are excited to continue building on this momentum throughout the year.
