2023 TPS BOOK WEEK WRITING COMPETITION

This year, Thornbury Primary School had our very first whole school writing competition for Book Week! 

Sixty students enter their stories into the competition.

The four winners and notables were chosen by student teachers, working across different year levels. They looked at how the stories fitted in with our theme of ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’. They also looked at how the authors used purpose, voice, and audience in their writing. 

Student teachers judged the entries into two categories, Notables and Winners. Notables are like runners up. 

There were several notables and one winner from each year level. Winners received a $25 Little Bookroom Voucher.
