Arts Festival Showcase – Celebrating Our Creative Community

We are excited to announce that students from across our school will be featured in a combined Visual Arts and Performing Arts showcase alongside peers from local schools. This year’s theme, “It Takes a Community to Raise a Child,” reflects the powerful connection between creativity, collaboration and community.

This special event will celebrate student talent across our local network, bringing together young artists and performers for an inspiring evening of shared creativity.

Event Details

Date: Thursday 18 June 2026

Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Location: Beaumaris Secondary College

The evening will feature performances from students representing:

  • Beaumaris Primary School

  • Black Rock Primary School

  • Beaumaris North Primary School

  • Beaumaris Secondary College

What to Expect

Our students have been working with great enthusiasm in preparation for this event:

  • Choir: Our choir will perform two songs, including a special piece that incorporates sign language within the chorus. Students have been practising diligently while supporting Susie and Mrs D.F. in the important process of song selection.

  • Drama Club: Students in the drama club have been developing a creative picture story, which will be combined with performance elements from other schools to form a collaborative piece.

  • Years 4–6 Flash Mob: Students in Years 4–6 have been learning an exciting flash mob routine, which we are looking forward to premiering on the night.

Please note that students involved in performances will not be required for the full duration of the event. Specific arrival and performance times will be shared with families closer to the date.

Rehearsals

In preparation for the event, some students may participate in multi-school rehearsals. These will take place locally and are covered under existing walking excursion permissions. All rehearsal details will be clearly communicated with families in advance.

We look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate the creativity, connection and talent of our students. It promises to be a fantastic evening!
