Level One

Year 1 - Gallery displays
We have celebrated our Term 2 learning with our new gallery displays. In Mathematics, our Level 1 students have been learning how to create and describe 2D shapes. We explored this though creating a city skyline using a range of shapes. In Writing, our students have been practicing creating narratives. It has been exciting to display their hard work and progress over Term 2.
DPS Speech Competition
Congratulations to all our Level One Public Speaking finalists!
It was lovely to come together as a cohort to share some outstanding student work across the level. The students did an amazing job presenting their speeches to their teachers and peers. Well done to all students who created and presented a speech as part of our competition.
Phonics in Year 1
Level One students are developing their reading, writing and spelling skills through our daily phonics program. By learning letter-sound relationships and practising blending and segmenting, students are building confidence as readers and writers.
Grandparents and Special Person's Day
The Level One students enjoyed spending time with their grandparents and special visitors, sharing and showcasing their learning at school. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate their achievements and demonstrate the skills they have been developing in the classroom.
