News from the Library

Another term has flown by, and it is time again to thank our amazing Library Leader crew who are essential in helping keep the Library operating.  Twice a week they come along to their lunchtime shifts and help make the world a better place with their enthusiasm and hard work. Thank you everyone for pitching in and supporting the Library!

Term 2 Resident Writers

This term our Resident Writer winner has requested to remain anonymous. Congratulations to them! If anyone who is thinking about entering the Term 3 Resident Writers and is a bit nervous, this is an option open to them. The winning entry can be read in the Gallery at the top of the Resident Writers channel in the Library Teams. It is a wonderful piece on learning to be true to who you are. Why not use the holidays to create a piece to enter in the Term 3 Resident Writers.

July Artisan of the Month

Break out those pencils, warm up the oven, dust off the sewing machine and charge up the camera. The July Artisan of the Month is open! Why not get creative over the holidays and show off your skills.

All the usual - all students, staff and family members are encouraged to enter anything creative - photos, drawings, sewing, knitting, carpentry, pottery, origami, an original piece of music, decorated cake etc. - so long as it can be submitted digitally (eg photo or sound recording).

There are three categories - Student, Staff, and Family & Friends. Students can win a $30 Officeworks voucher. Staff and Family & Friends get showered with honour and glory

Submissions can be emailed to library@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au by 8pm Sunday 19th July (end week 1)

If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to. Up to 5 entries per person, preferably in .jpeg format.

By submitting you agree to have your entry published to the school community (on Teams, in the College Yearbook, etc) - please contact me if you want to submit but prefer to keep your work anonymous. When submitting, please state in the email "I declare that this entry is all my own work" Past entries can be viewed in the AotM Gallery at the top of the AotM Library channel.
