A reminder to parents that all medications must be handed into the office and authority to administer the medication form completed.

This includes camps and excursions.

Whilst at school or on school outings students are not permitted to dispense their own medication or dispense medication to other students.

If you have any concerns please feel free to contact me - Please note this does not include ventolin/asthma puffers or Epi-pens for emergency use.

Whooping cough (Pertussis)

We have had more positive cases of pertussis we are working with the Public Health Officers at South East Public Health Unit to collate our cases into one outbreak rather than several small ones around the community.

If you suspect your child has symptoms please make an appointment to see your doctor for PCR testing

Vaccine booster shots for Whooping cough are recommended to be had every 10 years.

We are also seeing increases in cases of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (walking pneumonia), RSV, influenza strains and COVID.

School sores (Impetigo)

We have had several cases of school sores around the school.

Exclusion from school until appropriate treatment is needed.  Sores must be covered with a watertight dressing.
