Year 10 Report 

What a busy few weeks it has been for our Year 10 students as we wrap up another action-packed term! 

Our students have had the opportunity to take part in some fantastic learning experiences outside of the classroom. We welcomed Ballarat Community Health for the Expect Respect Workshop, providing students with important learning around respectful relationships, and also heard from the Pat Cronin Foundation, who shared a powerful and important message with our cohort. 

A major highlight was, of course, our Year 10 Melbourne Camp, which was a huge success! Students spent three busy days exploring Melbourne, visiting universities, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium and a range of other venues and attractions across the city. 

I have received so much wonderful feedback from the universities, venues and members of the community about how respectful, engaged and well-mannered our students were throughout the camp. It was fantastic to see them representing our school so positively, embracing new experiences and making the most of everything Melbourne had to offer. They should be incredibly proud of themselves! 

We are also incredibly excited to celebrate Bonnie, who was nominated by the school and has been awarded an Order of Australia Association Youth Community Service Award. Bonnie was nominated in recognition of the outstanding contribution she makes both within our school and the wider community. Through her involvement in opportunities such as Magic Moments, the Fuel Youth Summit, ABC Heywire, interschool sport, music, busking competitions and multicultural youth groups, Bonnie consistently demonstrates leadership, kindness and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference. This is an incredible achievement and a very well-deserved recognition — congratulations, Bonnie! 

After such a busy term, I hope all of our Year 10 students and families have a safe, relaxing and well-deserved holiday break. Enjoy the chance to recharge before we head into the final term of Year 10!
