Magic Moments  

During the school holidays, six of our students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Youth Leadership & Business Summit (YLBS), a five-day program designed to inspire and empower young people aged 14–17. 

Throughout the summit, students participated in a range of hands-on workshops, team activities and presentations focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, resilience, confidence, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and personal development. Students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, build connections with other young people and consider how they can make a positive difference within their school and wider community. 

Across the five days, the program explored themes of purpose, connection, courage, entrepreneurship and contribution, giving students practical skills they can take back into their everyday lives and future leadership opportunities. 

We are incredibly proud of our six students for representing our school and embracing this opportunity to develop their confidence, leadership skills and understanding of the impact they can have on those around them. We look forward to seeing them bring their new ideas, skills and experiences back into our school community.

My experience at the Magic Moments camp was honestly one I’ll never forget. Going into the camp, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but throughout the five days I became so much more confident and comfortable stepping outside of my comfort zone. I met so many amazing people, made friendships that I hope will last beyond the camp, and got to take part in experiences that challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. I learnt a lot about leadership, teamwork, communication and, most importantly, myself. The camp gave me the opportunity to try new things, meet people from completely different backgrounds and create memories that I’ll always look back on. I’m really grateful I got the opportunity to be part of Magic Moments because I left feeling more confident, motivated and inspired than when I arrived. 

Student Leadership – A Jam-Packed Term 3! 

Our Student Leaders have certainly been busy throughout Term 3, helping to bring a huge range of activities and events to our school community! 

From Spelling Bees, Chess Tournaments, Teacher Trivia and “Are You Smarter Than the Teacher?”, to Debate Ya Mate, Commonwealth Games viewing, Book Week celebrations, sporting activities and lunchtime challenges, there has been something for everyone to get involved in. 

These activities have provided students with opportunities to have fun, connect with others and build a stronger sense of belonging across the school. Our Student Leaders have played an important role in planning, promoting and running these events, developing their own leadership, teamwork and communication skills along the way. 

With our Colour Blast still to come, Term 3 is finishing just as action-packed as it began!  

A huge thank you to our Student Leaders for their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to making our school a more connected and enjoyable place for everyone. 

Colour Blast  

Woodmans Hill’s Colour Blast 2026 

We are excited to be holding our Colour Blast on Friday 18 September, the last day of this term.  

Click on the link below to register. Once registered, you will be directed to make a payment of $15 and then they can start fundraising. This guarantees their ticket into the Colour Blast field and a pair of glasses to wear during the event. Students can share their fundraising link with family, friends and the wider community to raise as much as possible. 

The highest fundraiser in each year level will win a $50 voucher as well as the highest class will win a Pizza lunch during Term 4. All profits raised will go towards improving outdoor areas, equipment and spaces for students to vote on and to enjoy at recess and lunchtime.  

On the day, participating students must not wear school uniform. A white or black top is recommended so the colour stands out, along with clothes and shoes they are happy to get messy (the powder washes out). 

Luigi Gelato will also be attending, with students able to purchase gelato on the day.
