VCE & VCE Vocational Major  Report

Claire Blower

As we approach the end of Term 3, our senior students are entering an important and busy stage of the year.

During the upcoming school holidays, our Year 12 VCE students will complete their Practice Examinations. These exams will be run under full examination conditions and timings, providing students with an important opportunity to practise managing their time, experience the demands of a full-length examination and identify areas to focus on before the VCAA examination period begins in October.

We strongly encourage students to use the Practice Examinations as a genuine rehearsal for their final exams. The experience, alongside the feedback and revision that follows, will help students make informed decisions about where to focus their preparation during the final weeks.

Our VCE VM students have also been hard at work completing their final projects and assessments. It has been fantastic to see the work, effort and practical skills being demonstrated as they bring their final year of schooling together. For both our Year 11 and Year 12 students, as the year is drawing to a close, we encourage all students to continue working closely with their teachers to ensure outstanding work and requirements are completed.

While our current Year 12 students prepare to finish, we are also beginning to look ahead to 2027. Term 4 will see our Year 10 and 11 students participate in Step Up and begin their transition into Year 11 and 12. Step Up is an important opportunity for students to understand the expectations of VCE and VCE VM and start the year with strong routines and habits already in place.

There is plenty happening across VCE and VCE VM over the coming weeks, and we look forward to supporting both our graduating students as they finish their journey and our Year 10 and 11 students as they prepare to take that next step.
