What's been happening at Woodmans Hill Secondary College
A Fantastic Father’s Day Fundraising Effort!
It has been a very successful Father’s Day fundraising period at Woodmans Hill Secondary College, with our VCE VM students putting their practical skills into action through our Father’s Day Stall, followed by a fantastic Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser supporting our VCE VM program.
VM Father’s Day Stall
Our VCE VM students worked hard in the lead-up to Father’s Day to create and prepare a fantastic range of handmade gifts for our school community.
Students were involved in developing ideas, making products, packaging, pricing and preparing items for sale.
The stall featured a variety of student-made products, including BBQ spice rubs, car care packs, fire lighters, mugs, keychains, chopping boards, aprons and other gifts.
The Father’s Day Stall provided students with a great opportunity to put their learning into practice and develop valuable skills in teamwork, communication, organisation, creativity, money handling and small business operations.
A huge thank you to everyone in our school community who supported the stall and purchased something made by our students!
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – $1,700 Profit!
Our fundraising continued on Sunday 6 September with a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle at Creswick Road, Ballarat.
We are thrilled to announce that the fundraiser raised a whopping $1,700 profit, which will go towards supporting our VCE VM students and program and help provide further hands-on learning experiences, resources and opportunities.
A Big Thank You to Our Local Supporters!
A huge thank you to Wilsons Fruit and Vegetable and Ballarat North Bakery (Bake & Grind) for their generous donations and support of our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.
Their generosity helped make the fundraiser a huge success and allowed us to maximise the funds raised for our VCE VM program.

We would also like to thank the staff and volunteers who gave up their time to help with the sausage sizzle, as well as everyone in the community who stopped by to purchase a sausage or drink and support our school.
Between our VCE VM Father’s Day Stall and the incredible $1,700 profit from the Bunnings fundraiser, it has been a fantastic result for our VCE VM program.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, local businesses and wider Ballarat community for your amazing support!
