Year 11 Clinical School Discovery Day 

Year 11 Clinical School Discovery Day – Wednesday 7 August 2024; 10.00am – 3.00pm. 

Deakin University’s School of Medicine is excited to offer Year 11 students, who are interested in exploring a career in medicine, with the opportunity to visit our Warrnambool Clinical School at Southwest Healthcare for a day. 

The Clinical School Discovery Day will enable participants to work alongside our current medical students as they participate in tutorials, undertake clinical skills activities, learn from Deakin’s Medical School academics, and hear about the pathway journeys of our current medical students. 

There are limited (15) places available for the Clinical School Discovery Day, and we will be conducting the event on a school day, therefore a parental consent form is required (attached). 

As places are limited, we ask that students answer the questions attached to assist us in selecting students to attend. 

Expressions of interest, parental consent, and image consent forms must be returned to katie.mckean@deakin.edu.au by COB Friday 28 June 2024. Submitting forms does not guarantee entry into the program. 

All applicants will be notified of the application outcomes by COB Friday 12 July 2024.
