Mock Trial Round 3 Wrap-up

On Tuesday, 23 June, Mazenod competed in Round 3 of the Mock Trial Competition. Both teams were presented with an inheritance dispute centred on a de facto relationship, offering valuable insight into civil court procedures and the application of the “balance of probabilities”.

Both teams performed exceptionally well. Our Year 10 team emerged victorious, while the Year 11/12 team narrowly missed out in a closely contested case.

The competition proved to be an excellent introduction for our Year 10 students, who gained significant experience and confidence. Our Year 11 students continued to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of the nuances of the legal profession.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Year 12 students, who have now completed their final Mock Trial season. They have represented Mazenod with distinction throughout their time in the team.
