Mazenod Musicians Take Centre Stage

On Thursday, 17 June, the Mazenod College Music Department held its inaugural rock music night, "Mazz Fest," at Milk Bar Inglewood.

It was a night to remember, featuring performances from Mr Gimm’s Year 10 Music class, Mr Poletti’s Year 11 and 12 Music class and several lunchtime bands, including TRG, The Squires and Off Beat Society.

The event provided students with a fantastic opportunity to experience what it feels like to be rock stars, performing on stage under the bright lights in front of a live audience. The energy and enthusiasm displayed throughout the evening made for an unforgettable atmosphere.

The night concluded with a special performance from Mr Poletti, Mr Gimm and Mr Alexander, who proved to the boys that you are never too old to rock out. Their set was the perfect way to finish a highly successful night.

A big thank you to Mr Poletti for organising the evening, Mr Gimm for helping setting up and Mr Patertson and Mr Tassicker for running the lunch time band and giving the students the confidence to perform.

A thank you to Mrs Hughes, the parents and all the staff that attended to support the students.
