POSITIVE LEARNING  | Student Expectations

Working Together to Support Positive Learning

At Frankston High School, every student has the right to learn in a safe, respectful and supportive environment. As we move through Term 4, we want to continue working in partnership with families to strengthen the positive learning behaviours that help students engage in their learning, finish the year well and prepare for the year ahead.

Our Student Behaviour and Learning Expectations provide a consistent approach across the school. We expect students to arrive on time and prepared for learning, follow teacher instructions, engage in classroom routines and treat others with respect, responsibility, resilience and empathy.

Learning and behaviour are skills that develop over time. When expectations are clear and consistently reinforced at school and at home, students are better supported to make positive choices, take responsibility for their actions and work through challenges. These skills are important not only for success at school, but also for future study, work and life beyond school.

We encourage families to talk with their young person about these expectations and reinforce the importance of being ready to learn, contributing positively to the classroom and respecting the learning of others.

By working together, we can help every student make the most of their learning opportunities in Term 4 and build the skills and habits they need for the next stage of their learning.
