From Student to Cadet | Lily Shares Her Aviation Journey
Students studying Aviation gained firsthand knowledge from recent graduate Lily Costantino (Class of 2023), who shared her journey from university student to securing a cadetship with Rex.
From studying a Bachelor of Aviation and building flight hours at Moorabbin Airport to navigating flight simulators and recruitment processes, Lily provided a practical insight into the pathways available in aviation.
Her key message was simple:
Success comes through resilience, persistence, and the relationships you build along the way.
Students were eager to ask questions and many stayed behind afterwards to learn more about the skills, experiences and opportunities that can turn a passion for aviation into a career in the skies.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM
Frankston High School is continuing to grow its alumni program in partnership with Ourschool, a not-for-profit alumni program for state secondary schools and the first of its kind in Australia.
By connecting with the alumni program, past students can provide career guidance and work experience opportunities for current students, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways.
Ourschool is working with Frankston High to help these things happen by growing the school’s alumni community and co-ordinating the involvement of alumni in the school.
