Life Skills Program
During semester 2, LSP students have continued to build real-world skills and confidence through meal preparation, including purchasing of food items at the local IGA. Some meals included gnocchi, souvlakis and savory and sweet rolls and. The program also saw students connecting with their local community with an offsite visit to the community and recreation centre, Post Office and local shops, where students purchased items within a budget.
Future sessions will involve students contributing to their school community through re-working and gardening in the Indigenous Eco Garden, in hopes to make it a more inviting space for students and staff. We're proud of the personal growth these students continue to show, and we look forward to sharing more updates from the program in the future!
