Wishing Our TRPS Community a Wonderful Break
As we reach the end of another busy term at Tarneit Rise Primary School, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff and families for your continued support and contribution to our school community.
It has been another full and rewarding term, with so much happening both inside and outside our classrooms. I continue to be impressed by the enthusiasm our students bring to their learning, the commitment of our staff, and the support we receive from our families.
The upcoming two-week break is a wonderful opportunity for our children to rest, recharge, and enjoy some time away from the usual school routine. While holidays don't need to be filled with organised activities, there are plenty of simple ways to keep children active, curious and connected.
🌿 A Few Ideas for the Holidays
Why not challenge your family to see how many of these you can tick off over the break?
- 📚 Visit your local library and choose a new book
- 🌳 Explore a local park, playground or walking trail
- 🥪 Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch outdoors
- 🎨 Draw, paint, build or create something
- 🧁 Cook or bake something together
- 🎲 Have a board game or card game night
- 🚲 Go for a bike or scooter ride
- 🌱 Spend some time in the garden
- ⚽ Head outside and practice a favourite sport
- ✍️ Write a story, comic, journal entry or postcard
- 🧩 Complete a puzzle together
- 👵 Visit or call a grandparent, relative or family friend
- 🧺 Help with a job around the house
- 📖 Read just for the enjoyment of it
💬 Have some screen-free family time
And perhaps most importantly — allow some time to simply do nothing! Children benefit from downtime too. Holidays don't need to be scheduled from morning until night; boredom can often be where creativity begins.
Stay Safe and Enjoy the Break
Whether your family is heading away, exploring locally, or simply enjoying quieter days at home, I hope the next two weeks give you a chance to slow down and spend quality time together.
To our students — thank you for another fantastic term. Be safe, be kind, have fun, and come back ready for a wonderful Term 4.
To our staff, thank you for the enormous amount of work, care and energy you continue to give our students each day. I hope the break provides an opportunity for a very well-earned rest.
And to our families, thank you for your ongoing partnership and support of Tarneit Rise Primary School.
