YEAR 12

Career interviews are well underway and it is pleasing that students are coming prepared so they get the most out of their interview. An email has been sent to students and parents explaining how to access a wide range of resources, how to use them effectively and where to find them.

 

All students need to have a tax file number to enrol in a course.

All students need a USI (unique student identifier) to put create a VTAC applications.

Students should set up their VTAC profile as soon as possible.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

Course applications open on Monday August 3rd. The application fee is $83 if paid by September 28th, after that date it increases to $166.

SEAS applications close at 5 pm on Friday October 9th.

 

YEAR 11

Any Year 11 student who would like a careers interview please reach out over TEAMS or pop into the library. 

 

YEAR 10

Year 10 students have been busy organising their work experience placements for the week of Monday 15th to Friday 19th June. It’s great to see students taking initiative in securing placements across a range of industries, and we look forward to hearing about their experiences. 

 

Any Year 10 students who need assistance organising a placement or uploading their OHS certificates are encouraged to see the Careers team.

 

YEAR 9

Year 9 students completed their Morrisby testing on Wednesday 25th March. Any students who missed the session should contact the Careers team to arrange a time to complete it.

 

In May, all students that completed the testing will have a one-on-one interview with a trained Morrisby consultant to go through their results and discuss possible future pathways. These interviews will take place from Monday 25th May to Friday 29th May. 

 

YEAR 7 & 8

Career classes will begin in Semester 2.

 

HEAD START - INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

In celebration of the 115th International Women's Day 2026, where the theme was 'Give to Gain', we celebrated the young women across the Bayside Peninsula Area who are working in School-based Apprenticeships or Traineeships (SBATs) in their respective industries. There are currently 28 young women signed-up and commencing their apprenticeship or traineeship in industries such as: Electrical, Brick and Blocklaying, Light and Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Engineering Metal Fabrication, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Early Childhood Education and Care, Racing (Trackwork Rider), Baking, and Cake and Pastry.
