YEAR 10 Physics Rube Goldberg Machine

For the Energy topic, the Year 10 Physics students researched and constructed a Rube Goldberg Machine using everyday materials such as cardboard pringles containers marbles sticky tape etc.

The students worked in cooperative learning groups designing planning and engineering their machines ingeniously using gravity and guiding pathways for the marble to travel across their machines. While one group used pendulum to start the machine function, another group used twisted pathways, a third group used concepts of tunnelling.

Good luck to the engineers of the future on turning their learning about forces motion and energy into practical design.

Hope the buzz and the effort was worth the learning. Next steps, good luck with writing up your SAC.
