Year 9 3D Art CAT

Year 9 Visual Arts students are currently working on their 3D Art CAT, where they are designing and creating clay totems that represent different aspects of their identity, experiences, and personal values. Throughout the project, students are experimenting with a range of hand-building techniques, including pinching, coiling, and slab construction, to develop their ceramic skills and creative confidence. Students are also exploring the artworks and cultural practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to deepen their understanding of symbolism, storytelling, and identity in art, while continuing to develop and refine their own individual art practice.
