LANGUAGES

Students in Languages have been enthusiastically developing their communication skills and exploring new cultures through a variety of engaging activities in both Japanese and Spanish.

Japanese

Year 9 Japanese students showcased their creativity by designing comic book panels using Japanese sentences. Students enjoyed bringing their characters and stories to life while applying their vocabulary and sentence structures in a fun and meaningful way.

Subject Expo

On Tuesday 19 May, the Languages faculty proudly hosted the Subject Expo, where students and families explored the Languages programs, future subjects, and pathway opportunities available at the school.

Visitors enjoyed participating in traditional Chilean games, including ‘rayuela’ and ‘el trompo’, while the Japanese display featured Japanese calligraphy and Kanji activities. It was wonderful to see students and families engaging with different cultural traditions in such a fun and interactive way.

We are very proud of the enthusiasm, creativity, and effort students have shown across both Languages this half term.
