Y2: Henny Hatching Incursion

As part of our Science unit on how animals grow, our Grade 2 students were thrilled to welcome the Henny Penny chicks into our classroom for 10 whole days!

Throughout the experience, students observed the eggs hatch and were fascinated watching the tiny chicks grow a little more each day. They learned about the life cycle of a chicken and how animals change as they develop. The highlight was gently holding the fluffy, adorable chicks and caring for them responsibly.

This extended, hands-on experience truly brought our learning to life and created unforgettable memories for our Grade 2 students.
