September Update
The P&C were incredibly grateful for Danielle Kedward’s thorough presentation at the September meeting regarding the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and senior years at Camden High. She spoke about the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA), VET, early entry and the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), including the grading, scaling and ranking processes. For those who are still catching up from their own school days, NESA was previously named the Board of Studies.
The entire group would highly recommend any parents with students who plan to sit their HSC, to attend future presentations. The information was invaluable for our own understanding to support our children in understanding how it works, and to be able to ask so many questions on such a complex system – all designed to create the fairest grading possible. This information could be particularly helpful if students were to not receive the marks they were aspiring to.
The November presentation will be from the English faculty. Online and easy to join to listen in on.
Uniform progress
As a result of the Term 2 uniform survey, the school has been able to quantify the extent of the dissatisfaction with the current shorts fabric. The P&C held a vote and unanimously agreed to change the fabric back to one that appears like the previous style fabric. The school is still considering the other findings from the survey. It would be great to see new faces at the meetings and help add extra voices to conversations with the school, especially about a topic that so many families have shared concerns over.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
The P&C’s Billy G’s cookie dough fundraiser raised $416 for the school. Thank you to those who were able to support the initiative and to those who helped to hand it all out! If you forgot to collect your dough, please contact the office ASAP.
Cookie dough keeps in the fridge for four weeks and can be frozen, thawed, and refrozen until the best-before date.

Meeting times and dates:
P&C meetings alternate between online and face-to-face, with the first meeting of the term to be online and the second meeting to be face-to-face in the school library.
Online links will be provided in the week before the meeting on Facebook. Parking is in the staff car park for face-to-face meetings. Everyone is welcome, so please come along!
