HSIE Class Highlights 

Year 7 have been working hard on their first Geography topic Landscapes and Landforms. They have looked at various Australian Landscapes, as shown in the posters below. And looked at some of the forces that have shaped and transformed landscapes, particularly tectonic forces. One way to show this process is by using Oreo cookies to model how Earth's outer shell moves and interacts. 

9 Psychology have been learning about the function of the brain and put this into practice by making their own brains with the various parts out of playdoh.

9 HSIE have switched over to Geography with many classes getting the opportunity to explore the school to conduct various fieldwork, including field sketches and soil testing. 

Interesting Geography Fact: Australia measures roughly 4,000 kms across from east to west, which is wider than the Moon's diameter of about 3,474 kms.
