SPECIAL ART ASSEMBLY TO CELEBRATE ALL THE YEAR 6’s WONDERFUL CREATIVE WONDERS!

Hi, I’m Liv and this is Maddie, Annabel and Miller. We are your 2022 art captains.

Over the past term we have been building and decorating our mythological gods. We have put in a lot of time and effort into our art work.

What we really enjoyed about creating these sculptures was the creative freedom as there were no boundaries. We started planning it in our sketch book of what we wanted it to look like. We moved on to cutting and building the cardboard which was one of the most challenging parts.

Once we had finished constructing them we moved on to the base coat which could be a peachy colour or a minty colour. That’s when they started to come alive. We then moved on to printmaking and painting small details.

We stuck the prints on and went in with posca pens for extra detail. This task was not easy but it has challenged our ability’s.

Something we have learnt is 'never give up' and 'be a risk taker'.

And now we proudly present to you our mythological gods.
