Year 3
Our Year 3 students have been learning all about the power of the sun! We have been understanding how we can harness the sun's energy by using reflection and absorption to convert it into heat by making our very own mini solar ovens.

Year 4
In Year 4, students have become product designers. We have been looking at all the different minerals that are needed to make our everyday items like smartphones and iPads. Students have taken this knowledge and designed their own product to try to understand what would be needed and where it comes from.

Year 5
We are learning the end of our space probe project. Students have studied planets, different current space missions and scientific equipment to build their own space probe to visit a planet. Students have also started to 3D design their space probes on makers' empires for printing.

Year 6
Grade 6 students have built and tested their own water filtration systems this week. They have been tasked with filtering dirty water and to test 16 different parameters to see if the water would be safe to drink. There have been some really interesting designs that the students that have come up with!
