Team work makes the dream work!
Prep, Year1’s and 2’s
Cooperation. Sharing. Working together. We set out to practise these concepts and the Preps, 1’s and 2’s have really stepped up to the plate. It has been wonderful for kids to not only work well together, but see first hand how this helps with efficiency in lessons, which results in more time having fun moving our bodies. Some of these fun ways of the past few weeks have been; Army style obstacle courses, Mega Lego super-balance work, rolling equipment and rolling our bodies, whole body engagement to launch equipment
extra high!
Year 3-6
Bikes, glorious bikes!
We have finally had some gaps in the wet weather where we have been able to get our NMPS Bike Fleet out on the oval and get the Bike Ed. program up and pedalling. Safety both on and off the bike has been our rolling focus. Looking at ways to minimise risk before, during and after riding has helped our students put our mock traffic scenarios into action safely.
Having some students bring their own bikes along for classes has really helped out too, allowing more riding time for all. Remember to store your bikes in the regular Errol Street bike parking area near the cubby house outside the Art Room windows and your PE teacher will tell you when during the lesson is a good time to grab them.
Sprints!
When the rain falls or even when photographers take over the gym, sometimes we have to pivot. Some classes have had a little taste of our upcoming Athletics Season with some timed sprint work up on the oval. Straight lines and robot arms have clearly proven the most efficient running approaches so far.

Here at school we have begun playing games based around some of the different parts of the human body.
Did you know?
There are typically 270 bones in the human body when first born, but this changes to around 206 as we grow into an adult.
