At HEPS, we recognise the importance of communication and would like all families to know that we are available to discuss your child’s learning journey. If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s schooling, academic or wellbeing, please do not hesitate to get in touch with their classroom teacher via Compass first. If the matter is urgent, we ask that you phone the school. At HEPS, we also share important updates and information through Compass, WhatsApp groups, the school newsletter and Facebook. If you would like to follow us on Facebook, please click the link below to request access:
HEPS Facebook Group. We hope these communication channels help keep our families engaged and informed throughout the year.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the District Swimming Championships on Monday. A special congratulations to those students who were successful on the day and have progressed to the Divisional level. We wish you the very best in the next stage of competition.

Our Year 3 and 5 students will participate in NAPLAN between Wednesday 11th to Monday 16th March. All tests will be completed online, except for the Year 3 Writing assessment, which will be handwritten on paper. See below for the dates of each test. NAPLAN is one aspect of each school’s assessment and reporting process and does not replace the extensive, ongoing assessments made by teachers throughout the year. Your child’s classroom teacher has the best insight into your child’s overall educational progress.

We’re excited to announce our first Working Bee for 2026, happening on Sunday, 22nd March! Over the past few years, we’ve been thrilled to see such fantastic turnouts at our Working Bees, and we’re so grateful for the community spirit that makes these days so special. It’s always inspiring to see everyone come together to keep our grounds looking their very best. See flyer for more information, we can’t wait to see you there!

HEPS will celebrate Harmony Day on Monday 23rd March, with the theme “Everyone Belongs.” Students are encouraged to wear their traditional dress or orange. The day begins with a whole-school assembly at 9:15 am (after going to class at 9:00 am), featuring an Indigenous performer and student presentations. Families are welcome to attend. Students will then take part in multi-age activities exploring different cultures to promote understanding, respect, and inclusion.
Congratulations to all our 2026 Level 6 School Leaders. We look forward to working with you all throughout the year.
