Level 6

We have had a fantastic two weeks in Level 6! There has been lots of excitement as we prepare for our 2026 production, Pirates of the Curry Bean. Students have begun reading the script and auditions are now underway. 

5/6 sport practice is also in full swing. Students have been building their skills, teamwork and confidence as we prepare for Gala Day on the 3rd of March. It has been wonderful to see such positive effort and encouragement between students.

Reading

In Reading, Level 6 have been enjoying reading their guided reading books and continuing to develop their comprehension strategies. We have been focusing on vocabulary building this week to strengthen understanding and grow our knowledge of a variety of words.

Writing

In Writing, students have been learning how to hook the reader with strong story beginnings. We are now using these skills to write great narratives, focusing on engaging openings and building tension.

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning how to round decimals and are now moving onto adding and subtracting decimals. Students are practising applying these skills to real world problems.
